Audio walk: Getting around Landstraßer Hauptstraße
During the course Anthropology of Space (2020-2021), students conducted a small-scale research project on a much-debated topic in Vienna: the reorganisation of traffic flows to create more space for non-motorized transport.
At the start of the project, students collectively interviewed Alec Hager from Radvokaten (Büro zur Mobilitätswende). Then, they conducted further interviews on one joint research location, the Landstraßer Hauptstraße in the third district, to study how differently positioned people perceive and understand the traffic situation there - cyclists, pedestrians, taxi drivers, local business owners, a politician, and an urban planner.
The findings are accessible in the form of audio narratives, in the audio walk Getting around Landstraßer Hauptstraße.
